Lessons From The Mountain

According to Psalms 125, one of the things a mountain does is show people what it’s like to trust God.

Psalms 125:1 “Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.”

Other texts compare God himself to mountains. But this one is about the PEOPLE who trust God. THEY are like Mount Zion.

In this way…

A mountain abides forever. It can’t be moved.

So too, the person who trusts in God will abide forever and, (no matter how they feel), they cannot be moved.

Entrusting ourselves to God means that nothing we fear is actually able to take us from Him. We are settled like a mountain.
